So with these lines starts this gorgeous book published by the editorial Anaya, with registration number M-1473-1979 e ISBN: 84-207-1728-2 dated in the year 1979, but approved in the year 1976, and the title “NEW WORLD 1 E. G. B.”.

The title lives up to the book since it was the first book we had to read in the first E. G. B., and due to its content, as well as its wonderful illustrations, I was traveling to a “NEW WORLD”. A world open to the reading, the imagination, the adventure... Possibly this has been one of the most important books of my life, and in fact, it is one of the few that I keep of my childhood. It is a book ahead of its time, for its narrative format new, from his descriptions, by his amazing drawings and for its themes of adventure to awaken the imagination of the children. In addition it is made with a lot of affection, something that can be seen in the treatment of the content. It is a pity that there is no record in the same of those who are the authors, nor has reference to the illustrator. This is the only objection that can be taken out of him, but by then, I was not very acknowledged to be the author of a book of text and less directed at children.

The copy that I have a story somewhat peculiar. That issue was not the one that he wore to school, since this what I lost along with the rest of the books in the lost my wallet at the already disappeared “Stores Arias”, when I tried a pair of pants. Luckily my neighbor who was studying a course superior to mine, kept the book, and their mother gave it to me. It must be said that at that time the books of text passed from brother to brother, and when not to your neighbor, cousin, a well-known, without caring too much about the state of the same. I only leave the reading book, because the rest of the books are not kept, so that only recovered this book where two booties decide to travel the world, and at the end they realize, as in the “Wizard of Oz”, that “at home in any site”. After a few days they called the store, my portfolio had appeared but interestingly, without the book. I've always been convinced that the other child was. I never handed the book back to my neighbor, I hope that to day of today I do not take this into account.

I have been writing a lot of people aware that they kept the book, I have offered to buy it, but there are things that do not have a price and this is one of them. If you want to share this gem with all those who enjoyed him in his childhood, and you now can go back to it after many years, and they can read it with your children and get excited. Even those who don't know can read it for the first time. I do not lengthen more, to enjoy an exciting trip to an amazing place called CHILDHOOD.
